Hi, I’m Charley, and I’m the founder of Grow and Glow. Alongside running this community, I work as a full-time firefighter, a role I’ve always been incredibly proud of. But my journey here hasn’t been easy.
For years, I struggled with my mental health, battling inner storms that left me feeling isolated and overwhelmed. In 2023, I reached a breaking point and was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. This led me to take a year away from work to focus on therapy and my recovery.
During that time, I searched for a peer support group for women in my area, but I couldn’t find one. It was clear to me that there was a real gap in the community for women who needed a safe, supportive, and female-only space to share their experiences. So, I decided to create what I wished had been available to me: a group where women could connect, grow, and glow together.
The response has been overwhelming. What started as a small group in Epsom has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined. Seeing women support each other, share their stories, and find hope again is why I do this. Grow and Glow isn’t just a support group—it’s a community, and I’m honoured to be part of it.

Hi to all,
My names Naomi I am a mummy of 5 boys a nanny of 2 and a wife (to be).
I am also the lead facilitator for the Epsom Grow and Glow however this isn’t how I started my Grow and Glow journey, what lead me to join as a member was the road my life has taken me.
I am a domestic violence survivor. Which has lead me to suffer with various conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, abandonment issues and fibromyalgia.
I can say I suffer everyday with one or more of these. Mainly fibromyalgia which comes with a variety of deliberating issues.
All my feelings have been locked deep away and I was slipping into yet another depression so I started searching for a private therapist so I could just talk freely without putting how I feel and how it all affects me daily on to friends and family.
Whilst looking I see an ad come up on Facebook for a women’s only support group called Grow and Glow.
So I took it as a sign and signed up!
I was a nervous wreck going in, I nearly turned round at one point but I pushed through.
But there was nothing to be worried about it was all such a breath of fresh air, listening to everyone’s stories knowing I’m not alone and I too will be heard and understood and not judged in this amazing safe place.
As weeks went by I felt at home (strange in know) but I felt part of something amazing and I was then offered to become part of the Grow and Glow team By our founder Charley. Charley is a true inspiration with her own story and how and why she created such a space. In which I will always be so truly grateful for.
Anyway I jumped at the chance and I love being part of something as special as Grow and Glow.
I still get a chance like all the other lady’s to share my struggles and I am supported by each member in which I am so thankful for.
I’d like to just finish off by saying thank you for taking the time to listen And I will return the favour when you need to be heard too.

Hi my name is Tasha, the lead facilitator for Reigate.
I've suffered with depression from my early teens from trauma and then from various things throughout my adulthood. I've seen counsellors and have been on and off medication to help me. Back in May/June 2024 I had got to the worst place I had ever been in and truly couldn't see a way
Hi my name is Tasha, the lead facilitator for Reigate.
I've suffered with depression from my early teens from trauma and then from various things throughout my adulthood. I've seen counsellors and have been on and off medication to help me. Back in May/June 2024 I had got to the worst place I had ever been in and truly couldn't see a way of coming back from it. I was very fortunate to have someone who saw that something was very wrong with me and I got on medication and began looking for some support to help me. I had came across Glow and grow not long before so decided to reach out and attend my first session. My first few weeks i either didn't speak a word or only a couple of words. I was extremely shy and withdrawn. The group was still incredibly supportive and helped me feel at ease and showed me that it was a safe and supportive space and that it was OK to open up. Slowly I started to share more and more. This group has become an absolute treasure to me. I highly look forward to the session every week, the love and support from the women is just something that you can't get from 1-1 counselling sessions. I reach out to individual people as and when I need to and they take the time to talk to me and support me when I need it. We also enjoy some extra meetups such as walks and other group activities. I truly don't know what I would do without them now! They have helped me through so much already and I just can't thank them enough!
The love and support from everyone is amazing. Knowing that we are all there, going through similar struggles, sharing our stories and knowing that we are all there for each other is the best feeling.
Finally I've grown so much in my time at grow and glow that I've gone from being an attendee to an admin for the Epsom group and now I'm moving on to being the lead facilitator for reigate! I'm looking forward to helping other women just like me, get the support they need and see my self grow even more

I've always been an emotional person, but now, I'm using it & turning it into a strength, learning about myself, & helping others along the way.
I studied Psychology at college, have taken part in 1-2-1 counseling, group counseling, CBT & feel all therapies have a part to play when it comes to mental health & supporting a healthy well being. For me...my therapies include walking my dog, doing exercise & spending time with my love ones, having a natter & a cup of tea. You can't beat a cup of tea!
I've had difficult times in my life, & am so proud to have overcome them & be able to be here today & help others who may be in a difficult place now. To say I was flattered when I was asked to Facilitate would be an understatement. Charley & the others facilitators are such a kind, warm, friendly group of women, how could I possibly turn down such an opportunity!
Facing mental health difficulties is no easy feat but, putting your hand up is the first step & Grow & Glow is a great place to start your journey to feeling better within yourself.
