Coming to something new can feel daunting, especially if you are already finding things hard. Many women tell us they feel nervous before their first Grow and Glow session. That is completely understandable.
This page explains what happens at a Grow and Glow session so you know what to expect before you arrive.
When you arrive, a facilitator will welcome you and show you where to go.
You will have time to settle in, grab a drink, and take a seat before the session begins. There is no rush and no pressure to jump straight in.
You can come on your own or with someone you trust.
Sessions take place in a relaxed, informal setting. We sit together in a circle so everyone is included and able to take part in the same way.
The space is respectful and supportive. What is shared in the group is treated with care and confidentiality.
Each Grow and Glow session follows the same simple structure. This consistency is intentional and helps sessions feel predictable and safe.
The session includes
• How has your week been
• Anything you would like to share or get off your mind
• Something you are grateful for
• A light hearted question at the end if time allows
You are always free to pass on any part of the session.
There is no expectation to speak at Grow and Glow.
Some women share openly.
Some listen quietly.
Some do a bit of both.
All of these ways of being in the space are equally welcome.
You do not need to have the right words and you do not need to explain yourself.
At each session, we provide an essentials box with free sanitary and hygiene items, including pads, tampons, and deodorant.
These are available to anyone who needs them, no questions asked.
Sessions are guided by trained facilitators whose role is to welcome attendees, guide the structure of the session, and help maintain a respectful and supportive environment.
Facilitators do not provide advice, therapy, or diagnosis. Grow and Glow is a peer support space.
Some women leave feeling lighter. Others simply feel glad they came. There is no right or wrong way to feel afterwards.
You are welcome to attend once or come back regularly. There is no expectation either way.
If you are still unsure about attending or have specific questions, you are very welcome to get in touch before coming along.
